Word of the day: An affluent

An affluent is a river that flows into a larger stream, river or lake.

The Manzanares river is an affluent of the Jarama river.

And the Jarama river is an affluent of the Tajo river, the longest river in 

the Iberian Peninsula.

The Tajo river crosses Portugal and ends in the Atlantic ocean.
