Water on Earth
- Over 70% of the Earth´s surface is water and 30% is land.
- Bodies of water can be all sizes: Oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, ponds and puddles.

- An ocean is a very large body of water.
- The five most important oceans in the world are: The Pacific ocean (The biggest), The Atlantic Ocean , The Indian Ocean, The Southern Ocean and the Artic Ocean.

- A sea is a large body of salt water but smaller than a sea.
- Most of them are partly surrounded by land but some are completely surrounded, for example The Red Sea.

- A lake is a large inland body of water.
- Most of them contain fresh water but some contain salt water, for example Lake Elton in Russia.
4.
- A river is a moving stream of fresh water normally formed in the mountains.
- It flows towards an ocean , a sea or a lake .
- The longest river in the world is The Nile, which flows through eleven countries in Africa and flows towards the Mediterranean Sea.
