"Who lived in the Iberian Peninsula in Prehistory? Before the Carthaginians, Phoenicians and Greeks arrived?"
Many groups existed in the Iberian Peninsula in Prehistory but the most prominents were:
- Northern tribes ( In the north)
- Celts ( In the centre and midle west)
- Iberians ( Along the west and south)
- Tartessians ( In the south)
Colonisation of the Iberian Peninsula
Litle by litle, new groups of people from the Eastern Mediterranean started to colonise the Iberian Peninsula and coexisted with the ones who already lived here.
These people were the Phoenicians , Greeks and Carthaginians.
