Word of the day: A cell

A cell is the smallest basic unit of a plant or animal.

cells > tissue > organs > systems > living organism

Unicellular organsims only have one cell.

A bacteria and algae are examples of unicellular organsims.

Multicellular organsims have many cells.

Plants, animals and people are multicellular organisms.

    In the notebook or in a blank sheet , draw the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems Label the parts.

Word of the day: Halloween costumes

Halloween costumes are designed to imitate scary creatures for example monsters, vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, skeletons, witches, trolls, devils, etc.

Some people prefer to wear science fiction inspired charcters like aliens and superheros.

What did Sara do over the weekend?

OSaturday Sara went to a dinosaur exhibition with her parents. What she liked the most was to see the biggest dinosaur, called the "The giant dinosaur."

Word of the day: A pumpkin

Pumpkins are giant orange vegetables.

In America, at Halloween, children carve pumpkins and put a candle inside.

They are called Jack o´ Lanterns.  

ENGLISH

To carve: to make something by cutting into, especially wood or stone but also pumpkins!

When we carve a pumpkin we transform it in to a Jack o´Lantern!

Report about the Iberian wolf and the Cantabrian brown Bear.

  • In this report we are going to talk about two interesting animals: The Iberian wolf and the Cantabrian brown bear.
  •  Both animals have many things in commonThey are mammals that live in Spain.  

      Both are wild! We cannot have them at                home as pets.

  • They are different in many ways too.

     The Cantabrian bear is bigger than the              Iberian wolf.

     The Cantabrian bear roars very loud 

      but the Iberian wolf howls even louder

      Bears eat plants and other animals, they             are omnivours.

      However, wolves eat other animals, they are       carnivours.

  • The Iberian wolf and the Cantabrian bear are beautiful animals and we must protect them.

A report has got four parts:

What did you do over the weekend? 

Last Sunday she went to an oriental restaurant for lunch to celebrate her grandma´s birthday. She went there with her brother, parents and grandparents. She ate sushi and she had a lovely time. 

Went - past simple of verb "to go"

Celebrate - infinitive of "purpose" (reason)

Ate - past simple of verb "to eat"

    eat    ate    eaten
